When it comes to fashion, we mere mortals tend to turn to the rich and famous, especially after a massive awards show, say, the Emmys. The Emmys bring out the girl in us women and the women of the Emmys are no exception. Take a look at every single look from the Emmys that we so desperately want to steal, designed by the greatest fashion designers out there.
Everyone’s favorite cat lady from the iconic and hilarious TV show The Office killed it at the Emmy Awards After Party. Her “little red dress” is the new trend cause the traditional little black dress is so overrated. All fashion designers beware cause there’s a new trend setter in town.
She’s done it again folks. The Modern Family star looked beyond gorgeous in this sparkling Lorena Sarbu gown and while we are dying to get the look, our pockets don’t run $3,000 deep. And if we had any kind of art skill then we’d definitely try out a fashion design school but for now we’ll just stick to window shopping per say.
The actress totally looked like Jessica Rabbit in this red dress design! It won’t send me packing to fashion school anytime soon but it will just make me drool, for now, I’ll stick to my off-the-rack Target look.
This Scream Queens star is the epitome of perfection in this beaded V-neck Kaufmanfranco dress. Meanwhile I’m eating some cold pizza in the hopes that one day I can afford to buy a fancy dress designed by the most famous and expensive fashion designers out there but uhh, that’s not happening anytime soon.
January Jones looked absolutely stunning in this emerald green Ulyana Sergeenko onesie, featuring a sweetheart neckline, wide-leg pants and a dazzling gold starfish pin. Doesn’t all of that just sound so darn regal? Meanwhile I’m sporting Victoria’s Secret sweatpants, a sweatshirt I’ve had since high school and my hair in a crazy bun so I got yah, girl. ~Green with envy forever and yes, pun intended~
This is definitely no boring monochromatic look! Morrison creatively adds some serious interest to her Narciso Rodriguez look with a lengthy draped one-shoulder top. Talk about sense of fashion, eh?
Julianne Hough had the guts to show off her dancer’s figure in this daring see-through black Marchesa dress which costs more than my mortgage. Her skimpy bodice and sheer flowing tulle skirt unfortunately even gave a glimpse of her lace underwear but Julianne is a pro and that wont’ be stopping her anytime soon. She’s giving us some serious dress and fitness goals.
Pants were definitely a running theme at the Emmys and our girl Katharine McPhee totally got the memo. The incredibly talented signer and actress rocked this plunging Wai Ling jumpsuit, and topped it all off with deep berry lips. Ugh, let me check out fashion merchandising schools so I can attempt to copy this look.
Elie Saab is one of those fashion designers that only the biggest stars have on speed dial, mere mortals such as myself can only dream of such luxury. The fact that her floral dress has pockets makes me want it even more.
Lady Gaga is Queen. From one Brandon Maxwell design to the next, Gaga totally wows in a white column gown with exaggerated sleeves. Her sense of fashion knows no bounds and we’re beyond jealous. Slay girl, slay.
Maggie Gyllenhaal kept it classy in this black and white crop top, pant combo. Listen up students in fashion design school because this look is one that probably isn’t going away anytime soon and if you could, how about opening up a classy and affordable dress store?

We don’t what’s more incredible Henson’s drop dead gorgeous all black Alexander Wang dress Emmy win, we’re gonna go with, both are amazing cause this woman is fierce. All bow down to Queen Henson.
Viola Davis made history with her Win for Best Actress in a Drama – girl power is running strong and always will be as Viola will never cease to dazzle us normal folk. Oh yeah, her white gown by one of the most sought after fashion designers Carmen Marc Valvo is staggeringly beautiful.
The adorable and insanely talented Emilia Clarke donned this risque, yet chic pink, sparkly Atelier Versace evening gown. As far as strapless floor-length gowns go, this one knocks it out of the park.
The Shameless star rocked it with this metallic off-the-shoulder number. Not only is it modest but it has an edge to its overall look. Where was this during my homecoming dance?
The former Hart of Dixie actress made all of us incredibly jealous with this black striped sequin gown. To top the look off, she paired with a sleek topknot.
The This Is Us star and everyone’s favorite 90s singer was true sunshine yellow, and we’re not just talking about her dress. She has much to grin about as the tear-jerking drama show has been renewed for two more seasons on NBC, so we’ll be seeing plenty more of Miss Moore. For the after party, she stayed in her Prabal Gurung gown and we love it.
Tracee Ellis Ross
The Black-ish nominee went ahead and swapped out her all-white-to-die-for Emmy look earlier on for this animal-inspired flowing frock. Not bad, Ross, not bad.
Ang went for a chic, ruffled gown with a lace overlay, plus those statement chandelier earrings are incredible. Girl, who’s your fashion designer cause we want this look ASAP.
Sarah Hyland knows how to steal the show, no doubt about it. She earns a double feature because girl knows how to rock a little black dress. In 2015 (right), she rocked a slinky halter Kaufmanfranco LBD and yes, our jaws are still on the floor cause we just can’t get over this look. And there was the black v-neck mini and black strappy heels from the 2016 Emmy show (left).
Lisa Rinna, as you know is the star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and she knocked it out of the park with this slinky white gown with cut-outs down the entire seam. Dashing to say the least.
Arya? Is that you? Heck yes! Maisie Williams looked like she came out of the pages of a 60s fashion magazine with this glittery frock and metallic heels. Today’s designers might wanna look back at old fashion design school for inspiration!

These two are serious #sistergoals! Their looks at the Emmys are breathtaking. Laura is donning a stunning Julien Macdonald 2014 spring dress while Vanessa is sporting a dashing red Margi Kent.
The Game of Thrones actress was stunning in this Valentino sheer gown and Christian Louboutin sandals. It’s definitely a look we can back up only cause we so desperately want it!
