He had to get out
He noticed the officer’s radio through the bars that separated the front and back of the automobile. Daryl couldn’t reach the radio while handcuffed, so he needed to figure out how to get out of them first. “Help!” he cried with every passing vehicle, but no one heard him. The automobile was gradually heating up, and Daryl could feel sweat building on his forehead.

He Had To Get Out
A panic attack
His mouth was becoming drier by the minute, and sweat was soaking through his shirt. He had heard about people dying as a result of car overheating and was concerned that his faith would suffer as well. In a moment of panic, he attempted to get his hands out of the shackles, but his thumb was blocking the path. Fortunately, his sweat made everything slippery, and the handcuff gradually went further around his wrist.
