The producers pay the TV fishing crew, which means that they no longer need to reach their fishing quotas. They end up pricing out the average fisherman, making it harder for others to earn a living. On top of that, the show likes to edit the clips to make dramatic storylines. It once combined footage from two different storms to make it seem like just a single big storm.
