After about 15 minutes of fighting her curiosity and with her house still far away, Ava couldn’t stand it any longer. She looked around to make sure no one was paying attention and then quickly entered a dark alley. When she was sure she was alone, she took the object out of her pocket and looked at it more calmly, trying to figure out what it was.

Ava stared at the object, trying to understand what all the fuss was about. It was just a small electronic device, with nothing extraordinary at first glance. She had no idea what its function might be, but she was almost certain that it was nothing valuable or rare. So the question that plagued her was: why had the old man been so insistent on making sure she kept it with her at all costs? The mystery only increased, leaving Ava more and more baffled.
