Zac called Dr. Edwards numerous times until he eventually answered, and he said, “Open up!” “I have got your water!” When the doctor sighed deeply in answer, Zac knew exactly what was going on. “I apologize, Zac, but you gave us no choice. Lola requires room, and you are interfering with the process. “I’ll call if we need anything else,” he added before hanging up. Zac’s mouth dropped open as he focused on his phone. Standing outside the door, Zac felt disoriented. He needed to get back inside and aid Lola, but all he could do was yell and pound on the door. “Please, open up!” he cried. But the veterans did not arrive. Frustration welled up, and Zac understood he needed to find another way in, so he began circling the structure, praying for a miracle.
