Determined to know

I decided to conduct my own investigation. If Michael didn’t give me the answers I wanted, I’d find them on my own. So I sat down at my desk, grabbing my phone and a notebook. I was going to make calls, ask questions, and refuse to remain in the dark. I had to understand why my grandchildren seemed to have disappeared from my life. Calling Linda

I dialed the number of my daughter-in-law, Linda, hoping she could finally enlighten me. “Hello Linda, it’s me,” I said, my voice betraying my nervousness. On the other end of the line, her reply was hasty. “I’m very busy right now,” she replied quickly. “Linda, please, I just need to know why the kids haven’t come to see me,” I insisted, my heart heavy with hope. There was a long sigh before she replied, “I really can’t talk right now,” before abruptly hanging up. Her avoidance only intensified my concerns, leaving an icy chill between us.
