She sat across from me, her eyes filled with fear and hope. She said, “Thank you so much for coming.” Her voice was barely higher than a whisper. I made no reply, but I waited for her explanation. Jenna looked even worse. Her eyes had gotten caught, and her hair was hanging sloppily around her thin face. She took a deep breath and began to tell me her tale.
