Intense Test Product Process
Aldi vehemently opposes the notion of consistency. Their test kitchens have incredibly rigid policies, as a matter of fact. Before it appears in the shop, each product is checked 30 times. They re-test at least once a year and every time a related product is launched by one of their rivals. Beautifully impressive!
All About ‘Verzicht’
We’ve been seeking to identify the perfect version, but it seems like we can’t find a direct English translation. The term, though, would pretty much mean a mixture of “doing without” and “giving up.” It’s more about coherence and thriftiness, to put it plainly. Since workers are not supposed to communicate with the public, they would not admit it. Still, after a regional manager wrote a book that exposed the marketing philosophy of Aldi, many citizens heard more regarding their strategy – keeping it plain. It just boils down to having an objective and all that is disposed of.
