This VW that Jimmy Kimmel drives is known in the United States as “The Thing.” The comedian was seen driving around Los Angeles the Volkswagen 181. The 181 was made from 1968-1983 and was initially designed for the West German Army and sold from 1973-74 to the U.S. public. Though most celebrities prefer their personal space behind tinted windows, Kimmel seems glad to talk and take pictures with the fans when he ventures Hollywood. It appears that he also kept the original license plate from the 1970s.

The shiny black exterior flows into the dashboard, and the inside is flashy orange. When Nicki Minaj decided to ride shotgun, he had an embarrassing incident, since he couldn’t get the car started! Perhaps he had one too many speeding tickets because Drake had decided to sell it.
