Most people might only know her from her role in The Office, however, she has also starred in a few other films and TV shows. Some of them include The 40-year old Virgin, Bad Teacher, and The Middle. But before she became an actress, Phyllis Smith had quite an interesting past. During the 70s and 80s, Smith worked as a burlesque dance and a cheerleader for the St. Louis Cardinals football team. As she later suffered from a knee injury she was not able to continue, which how her acting career actually began.
