Unspoken thoughts
Julian often thought about his children, despite his efforts to repress thoughts of betrayal and pain. He’d watch children playing in the park and wonder how his own were doing now. “Are they happy?” “Do they even remember me?” These questions haunted his thinking. He hadn’t seen them since their divorce, and the remorse gnawed at him. Every day, he suppressed the need to reach out to them, fearing that it would reopen scars.

Unspoken Thoughts
Questioning himself
Julian often wondered if he had made the correct decision to leave. Late at night, he found himself pacing the floor, repeating events in his thoughts. No alternative explanation was plausible, but something still didn’t feel right. Whenever misgivings arose, he promptly repressed them, believing himself that he had done everything he could. “There was no other explanation,” he’d mutter to himself, attempting to find comfort in his choices.
