Sidney Poitier, an American-Bahamian Oscar winner, and Joanna Shimkus, a Canadian actress, have been married since 1976. Meanwhile, they’ve both retired from show business, but the Poitier family isn’t lacking for a celebrity right now. Poitier and Shimkus had two children together, including the lovely Sydney Tamiia Poitier, who has gone on to become a successful film and television actress. She is one of the stars of the 2018 American psychological thriller series Homecoming, and she is said to have purchased a $2.5 million mansion from singer Natasha Beningfield in late 2020.
