Ann B. Davis (Alice Nelson)
The show would not have been the same without Alice, the wise housekeeper of The Brady Bunch. In 1969, she joined the cast of the show. Before Ann B. Davis snagged the role, she also played Tennessee Ernie Ford in The Ford Show. In interviews, she has admitted that acting was not her first choice of career. However, things changed for her when she watched a theater performance with her brother. After that, she changed her major from pre-med to theater drama!
Davis After The Show
Alice proved to be a very popular character on the show. As a matter of fact, Davis was one of three actors who was in every single The Brady Bunch episode. After the show, she reprised the role in six different spin-offs. In 1974, the actress made her decision to leave the entertainment industry. She then joined an Episcopalian religious community and moved to Denver, Colorado. In 2014, she passed away. She had been 88 years old at the time.
