Kobe is not only one of the best players in basketball history but he also speaks two languages. Since he grew up in Italy it makes sense that he became native to the language. Now 35 years later, he is coherent in Italian and English.

Kobe actually funnily got his name. His parents were locals at their favorite Japanese restaurant “Kobe,” which got its name from the Japanese meat, Kobe Beef. He confirmed this in an interview in 1998 but said the restaurant may want the rights to his name if he says its true! He probably was not wrong about that.
