Rocky Johnson
While Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson leapfrogged in the Celebrity Department, Rocky Johnson was the original professional wrestler of the family. Born in Canada, Rocky started his wrestling career in 1964, adding multiple titles to the National Wrestling Alliance. The pair won the 1983 World Tag Team Title 1983, with Tony Atlas, a tag team partner, and became the first black champion in World Wrestling Entertainment. Johnson died of pulmonary embolism, claiming that he had the flu at the beginning of January 2020, ignoring a possible doctor’s appointment.
Rip Torn
Rip Torn was a well-known performer and voice actor with a career of more than 60 years. He’s immortalized in Dodgeball: the Real Underdog Story as Patches O’houlihan, Zed in Men in Black Franchise, and Arties in The Larry Sanders Show. Torn died of Alzheimer’s disease and its complications at the age of 88.
