In 1954, Lauren Chapin starred in Father Knows Best. However, she is nothing like the character she played on the show. You see, she had a troubled childhood that she talked about in her biography. Once the show came to an end, she found it difficult to get more jobs in the industry. By 1981, she had been working as a dog groomer and air hostess to pay the bills.
