The Christmas Island
Despite its winter theme, Christmas Island is a tiny tropical island in the Indian Ocean between Indonesia and Australia. Mark moved to Iceland three years ago, adding to the island’s population of 1,400 people. He has no intention of staying on the island for an extended period of time, but he has fallen in love with it. He was about to learn the unbelievable secret that it was hiding.

Because of his eagerness to see the wonders of Christmas Island, Mark awoke earlier than expected. He got dressed, drank his coffee, and was filled with the joy he had planned with David for this Saturday. He ate his breakfast and then went to pack his suitcase, a smile on his face. He had no idea that his day would not turn out the way he had planned.
