De-Extinct or Endangered?
There is a possibility that this creature is just endangered or de-extinct. Orchard knew from his job that it was possible to de-extinct. This is how scientists may create a similar or extinct organism, often known as species revivalism.
Mark might have identified a rare, endangered species if that had not been the case with de-extinguishment. Although it’s simple to believe that people on earth have discovered every species, it’s just unexpected, not that case occasionally.

Mark hung up the phone and posted the photo with the caption “anybody knows what this is?” and put the image online. However, as he was typing, David began calling him in a very nervous way.
