There was a time when Storage Wars reigned A&E as its most popular show. The show is about people who bid on abandoned storage lockers in the hopes of discovering valuable things in them. David “The Mogul” Hester, one of the stars of the show, ended up suing the network and revealed that the production was mostly fake. ABC News reported that his lawsuit alleged that the producers of the show would plant items and memorabilia to spice things up. In the end, he accepted to settle once he reached an agreement with A&E. He also got to return to the show, but it is worth noting that the producers have yet to ‘fess up to planting things in the storage lockers.

Breaking Amish
This TLC show allegedly follows Amish youths interested in leaving their conservative communities to go to New York City. They want to experience what it is like to have cars, cellphones, and electricity. Sadly, the network did not work hard enough to make things seem more natural. According to two stars of the show, they only met each other at the airport! Social media posts, however, show that they had actually been in a relationship for some time already and even have a kid together. Abe was also arrested for public intoxication in Kentucky four years ago. This means that he had not been part of the Amish community for much longer than he claimed. Other cast members are in the same boat. It is really quite shocking to hear that TLC had not been more diligent about this when they were faking a reality show.
