Debbie Harry
Before she became famous, Debbie Harry first had to make ends meet as a dancer and secretary. In 1974, she founded a musical group called Blondie. Two years later, they released a debut album and saw a lot of success. The band went on to release several albums and left a mark on the industry. Have you listened to their new album? “Pollinator” was released in 2017. Trust us. It is worth checking out.
Cyndi Lauper
This superstar ruled the music industry with her incredible singing voice for four decades or so. In 1983, she released her first album. “She’s So Unusual” was the first album by any female musician to have taken the top five spots of the Billboard Hot 100. After two years, she received the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Mind you. She accomplished all of that when her career was just starting. She has since won more accolades and sold more than 50 million records on the global stage. What an icon.
