Made Up Place
In the film, Forrest Gump is raised in the small town of Greenbow, Alabama but this place doesn’t actually exist on the map. It was completely created for the film and is a bit different than the novel. While Greenbow is a figment of imagination, Bayou La Batre is a real place and actually where Bubba Gump Shrimp Company was created.

Gary Sinise is a talented actor but also a musician! In the mid-2000s the actor created his own nearly accomplished band. This was inspired by his Forrest Gump role, and he went on to play many concerts for military veterans.
