He told the Guardian, at 5 feet and 6 inches tall, that he was surprised when director Mike Nicholas selected him to star in The Graduate. He explained, “Nichols chose to give the role usually reserved for a tall, handsome Protestant to this short, funny-looking Jewish guy.” How awesome is it that he is a humble guy as well?

Hopkins is an actor, producer, director, and composer of Welsh descent. Hopkins is now 82-years old and has an incredible career behind him, although he is still at it. He has won an Academy Award, three BAFTA’s, two Emmy’s and way more. Some of his most famous films include Hannibal, The Silence of the Lambs, The Two Popes and King Lear.
