Rachel Maddow bought the pre-civil war farmhouse for only 605,000 dollars back in 2013. The 2-bedroom cabin was built in 1869 with a colonial-style bathroom and was situated on an 11.86 acres lot. It had a fireplace and a garage, but the architect Nicole Migeon assisted Rachel. A new bathhouse was built at the back of the building, which included a whirlpool and a second bathroom. They might have the room attached to the house, but Maddow chose not to alter the original arrangement for the house.

A few minutes from downtown Greenwich, Connecticut, Diana Ross lived in an enclosed home hidden away in a private community. The 12,562 square foot mansion had terraces leading to large lawns in each room. The living room has a paneling from the 18th century and a spiral staircase, with the walls decorated by Rembrandts. The gardens have a tennis court, a spa and two caravans.
