Even though it has been a very long time since it was on the air, the show remains super popular. There was even an episode of Charmed that paid tribute to the old show. It was called “I Dream of Phoebe” and follows the character as she becomes a genie. Her costume was a pale blue version of what Jeannie wore on the show! Thanks to the eccentric behavior he displayed, Larry Hagman became known as “The Mad Monk of Malibu.” There was a time when he rode his Harley-Davidson to the grocery store in a chicken suit! Aside from that, he was said to add bourbon to his cereal. He vanished from the limelight for some time but later made his comeback in 1978. By then, he was a bit less “mad.” Aging will do that to all of us!
