Shocking Theft
We recognize that most landlords don’t genuinely worry regularly about their tenants’ wellbeing. They are more concerned with their monthly salary, which is perfectly acceptable. But we think that figuring out the cents and highlighting a $0.46 deficiency is going a little too far. Does this landlord truly believe that the tenant is trying to steal a few pennies a month by committing a slow-motion heist? That is excessive. Why was the rent fixed at 1,440.46, too? Why not make it $1,440 or $1,441 and be done with it if you’re so concerned? Perplexing.
Unsettling Message
It’s wonderful when a landlord tells his tenants that he will schedule a time to install a new microwave in the unit. This is where things started to become strange. He informed his female tenants that he had taken a photo of them from the refrigerator for reasons we don’t want to consider. He actually stole a picture he liked, as if looking at the photo on the refrigerator wasn’t already terrible enough. We advise them to start looking for a new place.
