Desert Shot
ISS photos also give a surprising new perspective to deserts on Earth, similar to the Himalayas. This shot of the deserts in Iran looks more like the inside of marble or impressionistic painting. The image does not really show the traditional clichés that come to mind when we hear the word desert.

The Reef Seen From Above
Here’s another of the natural wonders of the Earth as seen from above: the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. The reef is stunning from above and down below. However, not all images captured from the cameras of the ISS have been as gorgeous. As a matter of fact, some have been quite terrifying.
