Sheila was brought to In-Sync and made herself at home there. Initially, she did not respond well to treatment. Despite this, Sheila’s rescuers were eager to save her life. She is also unable to eat, so the team sits down to feed her by hand. “I have to go to Sheila for two weeks to feed her by hand,” she explained. “I’ll carry meatballs and stuff them down her throat.”

Even though In-team Sync did everything they could to help Sheila, it did not appear that she was getting any better. Her health appeared to be nearly the same as it had been before she arrived. “She had very little muscle strength,” one In-Sync member explained, “and so, as she walked, her knees would fall from below.” This was going to be a difficult journey.
