Some Like It Hot is a film that combines comedy with mystery. It was aired in the cinemas in mid-1959. The female lead of the movie, Sugar Kane, was portrayed by Marilyn Monroe, and Tony Curtis (Joe, Shell Oil Junior, Josephine) played the male lead role of the movie. They both had to film a kissing scene together. The scene turned out to be great in the final editing of the film. Even so, after the release of the film, rumors flew around the town saying that Tony Curtis described his experience of kissing Marilyn Monroe as “kissing Hitler.” Still, the actor eventually cleared it up in an interview, saying that the kissing scene was not that great, but not that bad.

The 2011 film, No Strings Attached, featured romance and comedy at the same time. Natalie Portman was the one who portrayed the female lead character, Emma, as Ashton Kutcher was the one who played the male lead character, Adam. Kissing scenes should not be surprising, as they are the leading role in a romantic movie. It seemed, however, that Natalie Portman saw the act of kissing as a special gesture. She felt so uncomfortable kissing the actor because she thought that people should only kiss the people they loved. Indeed, as they always say, working in the industry is going to get actors and actresses out of their comfort zone – that’s why Portman had to be professional and get on with the flow.
