Emraan Hashmi is a much-loved Indian film actor. He has received several awards from the films he starred in, such as Murder 2, The Body, and Jannat throughout his career in the industry. This showed just how talented and great he was as an actor. He could do everything and anything for his career literally until a director tried to give him a gay role. Emraan Hashmi refused to take the role immediately because he didn’t want to. He thought about his fans-there was a very high possibility that watching him in a film that portrayed such a character would make them all uncomfortable.

Young and Restless is a soap opera, launched in 1973. It started with Chris Engen, who was originally Adam Newman but ended up with Justin Hartley depicting the character. When Chris Engen saw the script and learned he would be kissing a same-sex co-star, he freaked out and left the opera set. This forced the directors and everyone behind the camera to recast. No explanation was needed — he couldn’t kiss a person of the same sex. He was unable to take up the idea of portraying a homosexual character.
