Port or starboard?

This is not a mistake, but rather an alleged mistake that everyone believes to be true, whereas Cameron was correct. The crew yells “hard to starboard” and “hard to port” as they try to escape the iceberg, and the helmsman performs the exact opposite of what he should. However, in 1912, the port side was deemed the right side and the starboard side was called the left side. This changed after a while, but contrary popular belief, Cameron got it absolutely correct in the film.

The rails look as in the images above in one shot. In another image, the space between the rails narrows and changes dramatically. This may not be obvious to spectators, but it should have been spotted during editing.
