He went ice fishing where?
When Jack is attempting to persuade Rose not to leap into the sea and take her own life, he tells her a story. In that narrative, he says he went ice fishing in Lake Wissota, a lake near Chippewa Falls, to warn her about how cold the water would be. Now, this is an intriguing story, primarily because it makes no sense. Lake Wissota, a man-made reservoir, was built in 1917 after the Chippewa River was dammed, which is five years after the Titanic sank. So, did Jack arrive from the future, or was he simply making up a story to keep Rose from jumping?
Glass or no glass?
There are several faults like this in Titanic (which we shall cover later), but this is one of the most glaring. We’re talking about when Rose tries to liberate Jack and finds an axe in an emergency glass plane, breaking the glass to grab the flaming axe. Almost all of the glass is extracted. Then, in the next picture, she reaches for the axe, and the majority of the glass is still in the case. How is this possible? This little error, however, drew a lot of attention from onlookers.
