Jessica Steen – Paula Cassidy
Jessica Steen, who moved to the United States from Canada to play Special Agent Paula Cassidy on the show for the first four seasons, was pleased to be cast in the role. However, when her character was killed off in Season 4, she was done for. Jessica afterward moved to Canada, where she appeared in Flashpoint, Republic of Doyle, and Heartland, a popular Canadian television drama set in the plains. Steen credits her stint on NCIS with providing her career with the push it needed at the time.

Weronika Rosati – Rivka David
Despite her young, Polish-born actress Weronika Rosati was cast as Rivka David, Ziva, and Tali David’s mother, in NCIS. She only appeared in one episode at initially, wearing a lot of make-up to appear older, but she would return in episodes regarding Ziva’s recollections. Weronika is a well-known Polish actress who was cast in a minor role in David Lynch’s Inland Empire after making her cinematic debut in Pitbull.
