Diane Neal has landed a wonderful part in the fifth season of Law & Order: SVU, playing Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak for the first time. Her character would be resurrected in the sixth season of the show. In NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans, where she joined the force after serving in Iraq and losing a loved one, she had a rough plotline. In the show, her character and Agent Leroy Gibbs (played by Mark Harmon) shared many similarities.
