Basically, Disney keeps the bloodsuckers away by ensuring that there is no pool of standing water anywhere in the park! By getting rid of their breeding grounds, Disney has successfully brought down the presence of larvae in the area. But how can they possibly prevent puddles and the like?

You might think that it is a simple solution, but it is actually more complex than it sounds. For one thing, the resort was constructed on top of a swamp. Once Potter was hired to work on Disney World, his first task was to build a massive drainage system that would convert the boggy property into a place that would be suitable for construction.
