Louisiana – 36.2% Obesity Rate
Louisiana was well-known for its food. We could eat food like rich gumbo, spicy jambalaya, beignets, po’boy sandwiches, crawfish, pralines, and many more. Obesity also affected children. There were 13.2% of young ones who were not obese. 17% were high school students. It might be the current problem of the people who were African American and Latino.
Alabama – 36.3% Obesity Rate
Alabama was famous for its chicken-fried steak, and the state was also ranked 5 in the country’s highest obesity rate. It had an alarming rate of 36.3%. However, if we consider the number of overweight people living there, it would sum up to 69%. According to the CDC, 31% of Alabama citizens did not exercise or do physical activities in the past month.
