Did you know that Chris Washburn is among the biggest people ever to join the NBA? In 1986, he was chosen as the third draft pick. He went on to play with the Golden State Warriors, but his career was cut short because of drug use. He received a lifetime ban after he failed three drug tests in the span of three years. In 2000, he cleaned up his act and worked with his girlfriend to start a fried chicken store. But this venture only lasted one year. At the moment, he is working for a home mortgage company.

In 1999, Evan Eschmeyer joined the NBA and spent four seasons with the New Jersey Nets. Sadly, he was unable to get much game time because of his knee problems. Nevertheless, he scored 421 points in 153 games. In 2004, he had to retire because of his injuries. He decided to go to Northwestern University, his alma mater, to enroll in its prestigious JD-MBA program. Isn’t it neat that he earned not just an MBA but also a law degree? Nice! He has since been working as an entrepreneur, director of finance, and attorney.
