After Larry Johnson retired from the NBA, he decided to get serious. He ended up going back to UNLV to finish his degree in social studies. After that, the New York Knicks hired him as its business and operations representative. This did not last for long, however. In 2015, he ended up filing for bankruptcy when it came to light that he owed unpaid child support to the tune of more than $100,000. Oops.

When he was active in the NBA, Ben Wallace enjoyed a wildly successful career. He spent 16 years in the league and even received the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award a total of four times. He was also an All-Star pick four times and led in blocks at one point. He found himself in hot water after his retirement, but the legal issues did not ruin his finances. In 2018, he bought his way into ownership of the NBA G-League team, the Grand Rapids Drive.
