One of the numerous difficulties was that Beau had given birth to 13 pups while only having ten teats. So, to make things go more smoothly, Leah had to get up in the middle of the night to nurse some of the infants. Of course, her first concern was to ensure that Beau and all of her puppies were happy, healthy, and properly cared for.

13 Unique Personalities
There were 6 girls and 7 males in the litter of 13. Leah took the effort to name each of them after their distinct characteristics. A couple of them were simple to name since they had such endearing demeanors. Stormy, the litter’s weakling, was named first and given a powerful name in the expectation that it would really “give it a helping hand.”
