The native of Florida was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and later obtained her degree from the University of Florida in Telecommunication. To receive her Master’s degree in Geoscience, Shay Ryan subsequently attended Mississippi State University. Her good career has taken her to numerous sections of the country. It was assigned to cover hot seas, earthquakes, flooding, and storms in Georgia, New York, Michigan, and Mississippi. She is now working with WFTS-TV out of Tampa and St. Petersburg as a meteorologist.
