Psycho (1960)

In the 1960 psychological thriller film Psycho produced and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, the audience was exposed to the harrowing depiction of the somewhat true story about Marion Crane. A woman who disappeared after stealing $40K from the company she was working for. When she found herself at Bates Motel, the viewers were revealed with the owner of the hotel who is also the murderer, Norman Bates. This scene brought us one of history’s most paused movies. If you’re thinking about the shower scene, you got it all wrong. Hitchcock showed off Norman’s real depravity and evil psyche in one of the film’s final moments. When the gruesome criminal was finally caught by the police and then turned to the camera, a skull superimposed over his face was revealed. At that moment, Hitchcock knew what he was doing. The image lasted for a split second so if you blinked you’ll miss it!
