Yes, the basement had been hiding a huge green torpedo. The couple asked for advice from an army veteran, who told them that it must have been a lightweight anti-tank weapon or a mortar from either the Vietnam war or the Korean war. The authorities arrived to bring it away in a safe manner. But how could something like that end up there? Apparently, it was not all that rare for people to keep the items as souvenirs.
