Hidden Room
In 1963, this homeowner had been renovating his house when he tore down a wall and found a hidden room. This is exciting enough on its own, but then he found one more and another and another… In the end, he had apparently stumbled into an entire underground city. We are sure that you will agree with us when we say that Derinkuyu is among the strangest and most impressive archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. It was part of an underground tunnel network that housed the Hittites.
