An Unsettling Night
Hearing about the strangers made my heart race with fear. As night fell, our daughter appeared restless, tossing and turning in her sleep. Her little whimpers resonated across the chamber, keeping me on edge. When she awoke weeping from another nightmare, I hurried to her aid. It was evident that something was bothering her greatly. This strange feeling was gradually permeating every aspect of our lives, making me anxious.
Nightmares or Something Else?
I stayed at my daughter’s side till she relaxed and fell back asleep. The next morning, she looked at me, worried. “Mommy,” she whispered quietly, “those weren’t just dreams.” Her words tormented me throughout breakfast. Was it possible that her nightmares represented something more real to her? The concept seemed unsettling. I wanted to keep her safe from whatever was causing her distress and figure out what was happening.
