Paranoid or Not
I expressed my concerns to friends, thinking they would see my point. Instead, they laughed and labeled me paranoid. They argued that it was simply my imagination playing tricks on me. At home, my spouse attempted to reassure me. When I pointed out the weird events, he would remark, “It’s just bad wiring.” He urged me to relax, but his dismissals simply made me feel more uneasy. I began to question if I was truly seeing things.

Then came the night, and I heard light footsteps outside our bedroom door. My heart skipped a beat as I looked over at my husband, who was fast asleep next to me. I felt alone as I struggled with the decision to explore. I gathered my confidence and silently crept out of bed. Each step I made was cautious, echoing faintly in the silence. With heightened vigilance, I moved to investigate the source of the relentless footfall.
