Taking Action
Karen immediately set up meetings with the teacher and the principal. The teacher insisted the problem was her son’s inattentiveness. The principal refused to do anything. Karen was becoming more and more frustrated. She said both the teacher and principal said they were worried about her son.

Since the teacher and principal claimed Karen’s son couldn’t focus in class, she took him for a psychological evaluation to settle the matter once and for all. She found out there was absolutely nothing wrong with him.
