If they lost in that match, the San Francisco 49ers would not advance to the Super Bowl and face the Cincinnati Bengals.

On August 16, 2008, the Olympic Games were held in Beijing, China. At the finish of the 100-meter butterfly final, American swimmer Michael Phelps beat Serbian swimmer Milorad Cavic by 0.01 seconds. It was Phelps’s seventh gold in the Olympics, giving him a total of eight gold medals.
