In an interview, Julia stated, “I like to wear clothes; I like to express myself… I know that we are all looking at what the other person is wearing,” she continued, “To wear the same thing every day is uncomfortable because we have this deeply ingrained cultural expectation of changing every day. It’s weird, but because it’s weird, it’s making us all think.” What do you think about the motive Julia? Could you take the challenge and wear for 100 days the same outfit?

In a somewhat different way, Elizabeth McCarthy went about this challenge. She was featured in an elaborate video chat, instead of simply wearing the same dress for 100 days, in which she explained instructions to others on how to wear the same dress for 100 days in a row. Elizabeth wanted to be more mindful of what she was wearing and how often she wore it, just like Julia had done.
