Considering The Possibility
It was a truly beautiful ornament. Priscilla was drawn to it because of its intricate details, but it made sense for it to be carefully made if it really had ashes inside of it. After they realized what it might be, Priscilla and Kat felt bad for shaking the ornament. Was it disrespectful for them to do such a thing? Aside from that, the mother was unsure if she wanted to have something like that inside her home.

We can see why Priscilla would feel weirded out by the thought of keeping the ornament in her home. After all, it sounded a little morbid to use it as a decoration when it might contain ashes. How unsettling would that be? However, she eventually felt empathy for the late person and their family members. They had no idea how this object reached the thrift store, but it was probably a mistake. There was a chance that they were looking for it. Priscilla knew that she could at least try to return it to them.
