A Pin Of His Approximate Location
Time was running out for him, so he shared his location with his friend. “He said he didn’t know where he was, that he woke up in the woods. He was very disoriented. I asked him if he could send me a pin drop, which he did,” Aimee narrated what happened to CNN. It was a good thing that Facebook had those location features. This let Aimee have a general idea of his whereabouts even though he was unsure where exactly they were. It was good that help was on the way, but his phone was about to die! This would mean that he would no longer have any contact with anyone else.
Friends Banding Together
Aimee now had an idea where Mike was. She enlisted the help of his friends to set the rescue mission in motion. He had a friend in Vancouver with contacts in Indonesia. This was how they started the quest to save Mikey! There was also a friend of his from the Netherlands who contacted the local police on the island. A friend from Los Angeles checked out online maps and saw that Mikey was by a waterfall.
