He believes he knows Crosby possibly the best, but there were things about his beloved pet, as it did turn out, that George didn’t know about.

He began to ask himself whether this was really the same dog that he had decided to adopt many years ago. Crosby was known to George as a good dog who loved playing with other animals in the park. The dog would not leave their side when Crosby has become close to another animal. But this has now started happening.
